This is a Swiss grape variety obtained by crossing Gamay and Reichensteiner (German white). Gamaret is very colourful and intense, with aromas of black fruit (blueberry/cassis). The palate is spicy, supported by fine tannins. The finish is persistent, with hints of vanilla.
